New single: Youth Lagoon - Dropla

While it's becoming my new hobby to listen to Youth Lagoon (my favorite is '17', damn sweet for sure) and stare at my room's window, Trevor Powers is back with a new, free-to-download song 'Dropla'. It's a nearly-6-minute track opened with uplifting tunes, continued with Trevor's dreamy, chilly vocal singing such feel-good lyrics. His upcoming album 'Wondrous Bughouse' will be out on March 5 via Fat Possum records.

New Video: Nosaj Thing - Eclipse/Blue

Nosaj Thing has released a new video for his latest single 'Eclipse/Blue' from his upcoming album 'Home', which will be released at January 22, 2013. Featuring Kazu Makino from Blonde Redhead, this single offers Jason's glitchy, ambient tunes. The splendid video is directed by a Tokyo-based designer, Daito Manabe.

New Single: Flight Facilities - Clair De Lune (feat. Christine Hoberg)

Flight Facilities just released a new single (again) featuring Christine Hoberg, a Brooklyn-based jazz singer/composer. I always love what they do with underrated female singers, such as Jess and Giselle Rosselli. And it's Flight Facilities featuring them, not the other way around. Remember that Rihanna - Calvin Harris track? It's Rihanna featuring Calvin Harris! Sorry if I'm too emotional, but yes.

First time I listened to this track, well yeah, this was a good one, I thought. A good step for these lads, indeed. It's way different with their early work — 'twas all dancey. They have got calmer since the previous single, With You (feat. Grovesnor), which has an amazing video. One thing about the video, it made me want to watch Akira again.

Clair De Lune is a bit influenced by post-dubstep, let's say SBTRKT or James Blake. Some majestic slash swanky slash glorious synth sounds makes a perfect combination with Hoberg's vocal. Quite M83-ish, but still Flight Fac-ish. So here's the video, enjoy!
